S U N N Y






SUPPLIES
A tube and a closeup
I'm using the work of Ismael Rac.  You must purchase a license to use this work at his store HERE.

Filters
MuRa's Meister - Copies
Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Glass
DSB Flux - Bright Noise


Let's begin!

Choose an orange color for your foreground, and a yellow for your background.
Make a background gradient; Linear, Angle = 45; Repeats = 0.


Open a new image 100x100.
Selection Tool set to Triangle.
Draw a triangle that is higher than wide.

Floodfill the selection with the background gradient.

Image - Canvas Size; 500x500, centered.

MuRa's Meister - Copies - Encircle using the following setting:




Preset Shape - Elliptical - Circle.
Foreground = Null.

Draw a circle to fit inside the triangles.
It should NOT touch the triangles.

Objects - Align - Center in Canvas.


Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Glass using the Clear, No Drop Shadow setting.

Image - Resize to 300x300.

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen.

Set this image aside for a bit.


Pick a light color from your tube as your background, and a darker color of the same shade for your foreground.

Open a new image, 250x250.

Floodfill with the lighter color.

Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add Noise; Gaussian, 12, Monochromatic checked.


Image - Canvas Size; 600x250, all pixels to the Right.

Add a new layer, floodfill with the darker color.

Repeat the Noise effect.

Layers - Arrange - Send to Bottom.


Highlight the top layer, add a new layer.

Selection Toolbar - Custom Selection using the following setting:



Fill the selection with the darker color.

Selections - Select None.

MuRa's Meister - Copies - Line using the following setting:




Make sure you are working on the lines layer; Selection Toolbar - Custom Selection using the following setting:



Selections - Promote Selection to Layer.

Selections - Select None.

Duplicate the promoted layer 3x (for a total of four layers.)

On the bottom promoted layer, Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow using 5, 0, 50, 5, black.

On the other three promoted layers, DSB Flux - Bright Noise using Intensity = 45 (hit the Mix button each time).

Hide all four promoted layers.


Working on the original lines layer, repeat the Custom Selection.

Hit DELETE.

Selections - Select None.


Selections - Select All. (Ctrl + A)
Selections - Float. (Ctrl + F)
Selections - Defloat. (Ctrl + Shift + F)

Add the closeup tube, moving into position.

Selections - Promote Selection to Layer.

Selections - Invert.

Selections - Promote Selection to Layer.

Selections - Select None.

Highlight the original closeup tube layer; hit DELETE.


On the top promoted tube layer, change the opacity to 20.

On the bottom promoted tube layer, Layers - Merge - Merge Down (with the original lines layer).

Repeat the Drop Shadow you used earlier (5, 0, 50, 5, black.)


Highlight the top layer.

Add your tube as a new layer.

Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Perspective Shadow using the Drop Shadow, Blurry setting.


Add the sun you made earlier, moving it below the tube.

Move it to the upper left corner.


Add a new layer.

Selections - Select All.

Selections - Modify - Select Selection Borders; Inside, 2, Antialias unchecked.

Floodfill with the dark color.

Selections - Select None.


Add your name and any necessary copyright information.

Animate as usual.


For the avatar.

First off, resize the sun you made to 250x250.

Duplicate your tag (Shift + D)

Delete any layers with art.

Crop to 150x150.

Add your sun as a new layer, moving to the upper left.

Add your 2pixel selections border.

You may animate if you wish.
