S I N E D O T   T U T

This tut was written on June 28, 2010.
It is written using PSPX2; I'm not sure the same effects are available in other versions.

SUPPLIES
A tube, I'm using the work of Elias Chatzoudis.
You need to purchase a license to use this work from My PSP Tubes.

The following filters:
MuRa's Meister - Copies
Dragonfly - Sinedots II
Filter Factory C - Difference Displace
AAA Frames - Foto Frames
Xero - Porcelion - for the second display
Almathera - A Halo - for the second display

Font of choice

Let's begin!

Working from your tube. Copy and close the original tube.
Crop the tube to 300X300 or to 250 X 250 - depending on the tube of choice.

Set aside for now.

Open a new image, 600x250.

Paste the tube as a new layer.

Mura's Meister - Copies - Wallpaper Shrink - see my screenshot

Adjust - Blur - Radial Blur at these settings

Duplicate

Then Effects - Filter Factory C - Difference Displace is added - settings are X 242 & Y 13

If you don't like how dark this is - change the blend mode to what you prefer or colorize it.

This completes the background piece - I refer to it as the colored background below.

New raster layer.

Effects - Dragonfly (at least this is how it is on my PSP) - Sinedots II
These are the settings I used, but please feel free to get the look you like.

Use can always use the Sinedots to change the color of the sinedot your making - or leave it white - or if you have
PSP2 you can always click on color changer (located where color fill button is)
Make sure the color of your choice is one of the colors is in the Materials box.

Change the layer blend setting to Soft Light for the sinedot - or a blend of your choice.

Edge Effects - enhance - once

Merge to the background and then apply the foto frame to these settings

Copy your tube and paste as a New layer - this would be the tube you have resized to fit.

Add a bit of drop shadow - your favorite to the tube

I added the copyright and license number  at this time.

Write your name where you desire with the color you desire also.

For the avatar:

Duplicate your tag (Shift + D.)

Crop to 150x150.  Move the Crop to the section of your forum tag to what you would like your avatar to look like/

Add the Foto Frame to this,  Then your copyright and license number to your avatar.

Add your name (or initial.)

Here is another example

A tube, I'm using the work of Sherin Houstafa.
You need to purchase a license to use this work from Dreamscape Imaging.

To this tube I applied Xero - Porcelain with all colors to 0  and the others at default settings,
as this was my choice for the soft effect this gives.

I added another layer and moved it to the bottom, colored it black.  But you can choose any color you desire.

Go to the Colored Background layer, Effects - Almathera - A Halo - Black - setting of 20.
This just erases the edge - doesn't color it black so you can use any color
on the background or even design.

Add your copyright information and license number at this time.

You can add your name in a font and color of your choice.
