C R U M P L E D

SUPPLIES
A tube and a closeup (or an image).
I'm using the work of Ismael Rac. You need to purchase a license to use this work from AMI.

The following filter:
Xenofex 1.1
(a similar effect can be found using Xenofex 2)
DSB Flux (optional)

The font of your choice.

Let's begin!

Pick a color from your tube.
Highlight your tube.
Edit - Copy.

Open a new image, 600x250.
Floodfill with your chosen color.

Select All.
Edit - Paste - Paste Into Selection.
Select None.

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling (Default).
Effects - Distortion Effects - Pixelate (25, 25, Symmetric checked).
Duplicate this layer.

Highlight the top layer.
Effects - Xenofex 1.1 - Crumple (settings: Wrinkled Tissue).
(A similar effect may be found using Xenofex 2 - Crumple (using the Factory Default settings.)

Add your closeup (or image).
Move to the right hand side.
Change the blend mode to Overlay.

Highlight the duplicated background layer (the crumpled layer).
Select All.
Selections - Float.
Selections - Defloat.
Selections - Invert.
Highlight your tube layer and click Delete.
Select None.

Add your smaller tube.
Move the right side.
Add a drop shadow (I used 5, 5, 100, 50, black).

Highlight the duplicated background layer (the crumpled layer).
Add a blurry drop shadow (I used 1, 1, 50, 21, black).

Highlight the bottom layer.
Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur (Radius: 25).

Highlight the top layer.
Add a new layer.
Select All.
Selections - Modify - Select Selections Border (Inside, 2, Anti-alias UNCHECKED).

Move this layer below the smaller tube.
Add the following drop shadows to the border: 2, 2, 58, 3, black and -2, -2, 58, 3, black.

Add your name and any necessary copyright information.

You can also, if you wish, add word art.
In this case, I've used the font, "Impact", with three DSBFlux Bright Noise layers.

For the avatar:
Duplicate your tag (Shift + D).
Hide everything except the bottom layer, the closeup layer, and the crumpled layer.
Layers - Merge - Merge All (Flatten).
Resize to 150 height.
Crop to 150x150, using the handle to move the selection where you think it looks best.
Add a new layer and repeat the selection border and drop shadows.

Make sure to add the necessary copyright information.

You are done!
