It is written using PSPX; I'm sure the same effects are available in other versions. SUPPLIES A tube. I'm using the work of Keith Garvey, formerly of MPT. This artist is currently represented by PTE (http://www.psptubesemporium.com/). The following filters: MuRa's Meister - Clouds & Copies Toadies - Living Sine (Linear) Font of choice (I'm using "Bravissima Script") Pick a color from your tube, anything besides black should work fine. Open a new image, 900 wide x 900 high. Selection Tool - Custom Selection using the following setting: (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v649/aremgy/Tuts/CutoutSS1.png) Floodfill with your chosen color. Selections - Select None. Distortion Effects - Wave using the following setting: (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v649/aremgy/Tuts/CutoutSS2.png) Set this aside for a moment. Open another image, 600 wide x 250 high. Floodfill with black, which will be changed later. Add a new layer. Selection Tool - Custom Selection using the following setting: (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v649/aremgy/Tuts/CutoutSS3.png) Floodfill this thin selection using your chosen color. You may have to zoom in to see it better. Selections - Select None. Image - Free Rotate - Left, Free: 33, neither box checked. MuRa's Meister - Copies using the Line preset; changing the number from 8 to 35. Duplicate this layer. Image - Mirror. Layers - Merge - Merge Down. Effects - 3D Effects - Cutout using the following setting: (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v649/aremgy/Tuts/CutoutSS4.png) Add your wavy line you made earlier. Crop to 600x250 (very important). Highlight your bottom black layer. Floodfill with your chosen color. Highlight the top layer (with the wavy line). Selections - Select All. Selections - Float Selections - Defloat. Selections - Modify - Contract by 2. Hit the DELETE button on each layer. Selections - Select None. Layers - Merge - Merge Visible. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow using 0, 0, 50, 5, black. Add a new layer, floodfill with your chosen color. Duplicate this layer. Toadies - Living Sine (linear). Adjust - Hue & Saturation - Colorize; both boxes to 0. Change the setting of this layer to Overlay. Hide the bottom layer. Highlight the top layer, and Layers - Merge - Merge Visible. Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add Noise; Uniform, 15, Monochrome checked. Highlight the bottom layer. Layers - Arrange - Bring to Top. Add your tube as a new layer. Add a blurry drop shadow (I used Eye Candy 5: Impact - Perspective Shadow using the Blurry preset.) Add a 2px Selection border with the same color you used earlier. (I've added a drop shadow (-2, -2, 58, 3, black and 2, 2, 58, 3, black)). Add your name and all necessary copyright information. For the avatar: Duplicate your tag (Shift + D.) Remove your tube layer. Crop to 150x150. Add a new layer. Add a 2px Selection border, using your dark color. Add your name (or initial) and all necessary copyright information.
