T R E L L I S

This tut was written on October 17, 2009. It is written using PSP9; I'm sure the same effects are available in other versions.
SUPPLIES A tube and a closeup (or an image). I'm using the work of Ismael Rac. You need to purchase a license to use this tube from AMI.
The following filters: MuRa's - Copies Xenofex 1.1 - Shower Door
Font of choice (I'm using "Inspiration").
Let's begin!
Pick a light color for your foreground, and a darker color for your background. Make a gradient in your foreground materials box: Linear; Angle: 45; Repeats: 9
We will start with the framed tube. If you are using an image, simply crop to 250x250 and add a white border of 10, symmetrical.
If you are using a tube, crop to 250x250. Add a layer, and floodfill with your light color.
Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add Noise - Uniform; 45; Monochrome checked.
Layers - Arrange - Send to bottom.
Change the blend mode of your tube layer to Luminance (Legacy), and the opacity to 40.
Image - Add Border - 10; White; symmetrical.
Set this framed image aside for now.
Open a new image 580x230, fill with your gradient.
Duplicate this layer 3x.
On the top layer, use Xenofex 1.1 Shower Door with the following settings:

Effects, Edge Effects, Enhance
On the middle layer, repeat the Shower Door effect but change the Random Seed to 90. Repeat Enhance.
On the bottom layer, repeat the Shower Door with a Random Seed of 80. Repeat Enhance.
Highlight the top layer.
Image - Canvas Size: 600x250, centered.
Add a new layer and floodfill with black.
Layers - Arrange - Send to Bottom.
Highlight the top layer and add a new layer.
Selection tool - Custom Selection with the following settings:

Fill the selection with Black. Select None.
MuRa's Copies with the following settings:

Add a new layer.
Selection tool - Custom Selection with the following settings:

Fill the selection with Black. Select None.
MuRa's Copies with the following settings:

Add the following noise to all the black layers - Uniform, 45, Monochrome checked.
The background is now finished.
Add your framed layer from earlier, and your tube. Add drop shadows as desired (I used 5, 5, 100, 50, black).
Add a selection border, if desired (Select All - Modify - Select Selection Borders (Inside, 2, Anti-alias unchecked)).
Add the proper credits, your license (if necessary) and name.
Animate as usual.
For the avatar: Make a copy (Shift + D).
Delete everything above the top black background layer.
Crop to 150x150.
Layers - Merge - Merge All (Flatten).
Add a new layer and your selection border, if desired.
No need to animate, and no need for credits.
I hope you enjoy this, my 6th, tutorial.
